Meet Jessica Allen, Our New Account Manager at Sessionboard

With a wealth of experience in client success and account management, Jessica brings an impressive track record of building strong relationships and delivering real value to clients. Her hands-on experience in both event planning and customer success gives her a unique perspective on the challenges event organizers face—and how Sessionboard can help solve them.

We sat down with Jessica to learn more about what inspired her to join Sessionboard, how her past experience shapes her approach, and what excites her most about helping our clients.

What excites you about joining Sessionboard?

What drew me to Sessionboard is how it solves such a real and frustrating problem in the event world... I've been on both sides—I've been the speaker, and I’ve been the one trying to pull all the pieces together. Sessionboard is like this magical key that unlocks time for people. What excites me most is the chance to dig deep into clients' goals and help them maximize what the platform can do for them... I can't wait to be that partner they can count on.

How do you plan to bring your experience to the role?

I was lucky to be part of Virtuous from the very early days... I got to build the account management function from scratch, which evolved into a customer success team of 12 rockstars. I’m most excited to bring that same focused energy to build and support at Sessionboard. My approach is all about driving value for clients... building trust, communicating openly, and really listening to what they need.

What’s your approach to building strong, lasting relationships with clients?

For me, it’s all about the long game... I make a point to really know my clients—their goals, their challenges, even what makes them laugh or their dog’s name on Zoom calls. It’s about human connection... Celebrating wins together builds momentum and deepens that relationship over time.

In your view, what’s the most critical factor in helping clients get the most out of a platform like Sessionboard?

It’s about understanding the client’s priorities, people, and process... I’m all about having regular check-ins where we align on their business goals and explore parts of the platform they haven’t fully used... I want to ensure our clients get the most out of Sessionboard and feel like they’ve made an investment that keeps giving back.

What’s one goal you’re particularly excited to achieve with Sessionboard’s clients?

I’m excited about helping clients save time... Sessionboard has transformed massive, time-consuming processes into something smooth and manageable. By fully adopting it, clients can unlock more value—not just for their business, but for themselves.

How do you see the future of event content and speaker management evolving, and how will you help guide our clients through these changes with Sessionboard?

The future will be about fostering deeper connections... AI-powered automation will streamline workflows, and personalization will be key in tailoring sessions to each attendee’s interests... I see myself being a real partner to our clients, guiding them through these shifts... Together, we’ll embrace change and make it work for them.

Outside of work, what's life like for Jessica Allen?

I’m a 4th generation native of Phoenix... My family is my biggest motivator—I'm married with two kids... We’re always outside, playing at the park or having intense games of hide-and-seek. I’m also a huge bookworm, especially for mysteries, and love hiking... My favorite was hiking from the top to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and camping in Havasupai.
